Vivo is all set to launch its flagship Vivo X50 launch date in India on July 16. The series has three models:
- Vivo X50,
- Vivo X50 Pro,
- Vivo X50 Pro+.
However, In India, the company confirmed it will launch Vivo X50 and Vivo X50 Pro models only. Both these models have already been launched in the Chinese market last month.
The announcement of the official launch in India on July 16 at 12 noon was made by the Vivo India Twitter handle.

Vivo confirmed the launch of its new X50 series models in India through a tweet. Vivo India CEO, Jerome Chen, announced the news through a Facebook post.
As both upcoming models have already launched in China, similar features are expected when they are launched in India. The Vivo X50 model price in China is Yuan 2,498 or Rs 37,000 in Indian rupees for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage. Vivo X50 Pro model price in China stands at Yuan 4,298 or Rs 45,500 Indian rupees for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage. In India, upcoming models are expected to be priced lower by the company.
Vivo X50 & Vivo X50 Pro specifications
Vivo X50 has a 6.56-inch full HD+ AMOLED with 2,376×1080 pixels resolution. The device runs on Google’s Android 10 operating system with Vivo’s Funtouch OS 10.5 skin on the top. It will have an 8GB RAM and internal storage of up to 256 GB. This variant is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor paired with Adreno 620 GPU. The battery power is 4,200mAh with the support of 33W fast charging.
The Vivo X50 Pro also has a 6.56-inch full HD+ AMOLED display with HDR 10+ support. This model also runs on Google’s Android 10 operating system with Vivo’s Funtouch OS 10.5 skin on the top. This phone comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor. It has an 8GB RAM and internal storage of up to 256 GB. The mobile is backed by a 4,315 mAh battery with 33W fast charging.
Gimbal camera system
The Vivo X50 model is studded with a quad-camera setup on the back, with a 48MP primary sensor paired with a 13MP portrait camera, 8MP wide-angle lens, and a 5MP macro lens. The rear camera has features like 20x digital zoom, four-axis OIS, EIS while at the front mobile has a 32MP sensor for selfies.
Vivo X50 Pro model is studded with a quad-camera setup that consists of a 48MP primary sensor with a 13MP portrait camera, an 8MP telephoto lens, and an 8MP macro lens. The front camera has a 32MP sensor for selfies.
The Pro variant has a gimbal camera system to reduce shaking in videos while shooting. The model also has software features like motion-de blur algorithms, customized sensors, and a focus tracking system to help record videos.
Tough fight to OnePlus Nord ?
The camera innovation in this Vivo flagship series is something to look forward to. Vivo’s pricing of the variants could put the X50 series in competition with the OnePlus Nord. However, OnePlus Nord’s price is not yet revealed, which further increases the confusion here. Considered to be a budget smartphone, the price is expected to be less than the flagship OnePlus 8 Pro.
