Razer claims to have brought the most innovative mask under its Project Hazel – the smartest mask ever made in the world consists of reusable N95 respirator attached in glossy outside shell made of scratch-resistant plastic which is transparent enough to allow room for lip-reading and seeing facial cues while having a chat.
As of now, there hasn’t been any price or release date revelation made by the company, neither the product has got any substantial approval from the US Food and Drug Administration. Moreover, the company says that it is working with a team of doctors and scientists to develop the mask.
Features of the Mask
The mask comes with two circular zones that are used for ventilation enabled by advanced filters that would filter the air that would be inhaled along with CO2 being exhaled. Further, the company adds that the mask can filter 95 percent of the fine air particles including that of the COVID-19 virus and other pathogens.
The most noticeable feature of these masks continues to be the embedded microphones and amplifiers that will further project your voice and amplify it form the mask itself. Razer has affirmed that it is working with sound engineers to find out the right balance of noise to be used in these masks. Further, the researchers have said that the mask comes with silicon loops to seal nose and chin along with adjustable ear loops which would help people to find a right fit.
Another attraction of this mask will be Chroma RGB LEDs that will surround those respirator-cum-amplifier rings with the lights. Along with that the Project Hazel also comes with another set of LEDs that would get activated once it gets dark and can easily show the person’s face while he or she speaks in the mask.
Apart from these, Razor has also said that these rings can easily be removed and charged. Also the company has hinted that it might add the technology of charging case converting into a UV steriliser when the mask is not in use.
