Twitter Super Follows paid service’s launch imminent as a deeper look of the app surfaces

Twitter had officially announced the Super Follows paid service in February this year.

In February this year, at the Analyst meeting, Twitter had confirmed that it is working on a new paid service called Super Follow that will allow users to subscribe to other creators and get access to exclusive tweets, which will also earn them a Super Followers label.

Now, popular reverse engineer, Jane Manchun Wong has shared a tweet with screenshots that give us a deeper look into what the service could look like.

As per Wong’s tweet, the Super Follows service will be limited to users with over 10,000 followers. They also must be at least 18 years of age, and should have posted at least 25 tweets in the last 30 days.

Twitter Super Follows service will also allow users to categorise their tweets into different categories like tech, fashion, sports, etc.

This year, Twitter has announced several new features that involve subscriptions and monetary transactions. Last week, Twitter started testing its new subscription service called Twitter Blue in Canada and Australia, which would give users access to features like an undo button.

Last month, Twitter also announced a new feature called Tip Jar, which it is still rolling out to select users in select regions. The feature is aimed to work similarly to a tip jar in a restaurant that you can activate on your profile so that if someone likes your content/tweets, they can tip or donate you whatever amount of money they wish to.
